Here are the results from the Ashaway Meadowbank Xmas Tournament 2014 and a message from Douglas Walker
“Many thanks to all who contributed to what appears to have been an enjoyable event – to Lynda, Suzanne, Ian Campbell, Colin, Elaine and Ian Stalker, Lynne, Ruth and Fiona. You were a great team!
There were, as ever, some excellent matches, lots of good badminton, and very few problems that which came to my attention. This in itself speaks volumes for the expertise at the tables.
Particularly satisfying, though, was the large entry at U11. And we managed to run the U13 “A” knockout events as best-of-three throughout, which we hadn’t done in recent years – though it did mean running rather close to the 6pm closure. And yes, I should have chosen a shorter format for the U17 Mixed!
And the raffle, bringing in over £200 will be a great help towards balancing the books.”
